| | | Groove to miles ahead mono today! | Musical Legends Discussions| The most boring dream EVER!! | | Right after graduating from the university with honors I remember this one night where I had a really long ... and extremely boring dream, I talked about it the next day with my friends who ended up thinking that I was weird or perhaps I finally lost my mind ..anyways .. The dream or what I can remember from it was something like this .. I was standing in a field of perfect rows of corn stalks which had been flattened after the harvest, the area I was standing in was cleared and I could see miles ahead of me, the golden brown corn stalks almost touched the blue sky in the horizon ...and that's how far I could see.I was wearing my dad's dinner suit which was a bit oversize for me and all I did was stand there ...looking out into the horizon ... for the better part of the dream.I cant remember anything else .. apart from the fact that it felt like the longest dream I had ever had .. Has anyone else had such weird senseless boring dreams?

| | The Problems with Driving | | This morning was not a good morning for my drive to work! First, I had to stop for gas. That is really no big deal because there is a gas station close to my home. I pulled in and was disgusted with the price of gas! It has gone up 10% in the past 2 weeks! I guess it is getting to that time of year when they raise gas prices because everyone will soon start taking their vacations! It was beautiful weather out, so I had my window cracked and the radio up. I was singing along with the music, when traffic suddenly stopped. That happens often in my area, but not at the time of morning I drive to work! There was an accident about 3 miles ahead. Great. That meant traffic crawled for 3 miles until we got passed the accident. Nothing like bad traffic to make you late for work! Are there things about diving that make you crazy? Can your drive to work your whole day miserable? What do you think about the raising of gas prices during the summer months? | |
| | What do u prefer, fly or drive for 1000 miles for vacation? | | Hey I have a 1000 miles ahead to go visit my family to northern California in May 09. Here's the thing I only have 5 days overall to take and also would like to take the cheapest route. If I fly it would take me to get there in just 5hours including taking of, landing and getting a rental car=Air fare including rental car would be $700. Now If I drive it would take me 17 hours I have to drive nonstop to be able to get there and not waste my day= Gas probably around $ 150 with my 32miles per gallon car= food at least $50 me and my hubby. Which route should I take the cheapest route but I would lost my days because driving is boring takes forever or fly which only take 5 hours but it will cost more? Which one is logic to you? I am really debating on this one. Because I like to take the least I could spend money but also I would like to spend less time by getting there. So friend help me. | |
| | Are you a considerate driver? | | Do you think you are a considerate driver, why or why not? Do you ever get road rage?
Also, do you use your turn signals appropriately (to indicate where you are turning with ample time to alert the other drivers around you, but NOT 2 miles ahead of where you're planning to turn!)? Do you leave space at intersections, driveways, etc when driving as most state laws indicate you should, such as at the entrance to parking lots, gas stations, other roads, etc?
| | Sony shock | | It really was an eye opener, or should i say a shocker, to see Sony announce HOWARD stringer as its next CEO. As many magazimes covered the leadership revamp, there were many facts that proved that sony is actually a fragile and vulnerable company.
The play station and playstation 2 are both super succesful, but it gives many people the big and false impression that sony is "mighty" ( as fanboys call it). I am amazed, however that the Ps2 worldwide sales did not prevent sonys electronics division from losing almost $300 million in 2004 and Kutaragi was in charge of that division!Kutaragi is also responsible for the commercial failure of the hard drive/ dvd recorder/ broadband internet hybrid, psx. And he failed to convince sony to make the big adjustments to combat apples ipod in the digital music player market. Now steve jobs is running miles ahead of sony with lots of cash!Did i want kutaragi, the playstations father to become sonys next president? Hell NO! it was only the wish of sony fanboys and playstation customers that kutaragi be president. But sony is also a music, movies and media company, and people from the non gaming sectors dont really want kutaragi at the...
| | Are you fed up with MLM? | | I have come across many people on the internet who are a frustrated lot after joining MLM and not making the money they have dreamt. Some of them have expressed their hatred for the word "MLM". MLM has been successfully replaced by a new concept which has been comendably proved to be miles ahead of MLM as to regards to success ratio. | | How to graduate with Honours 1. GET AHEAD OF THE GAME | | Since there are many subscribers to myLot who are either currently doing undergraduate studies or are planning to do so I thought a series on study tips would be useful. As a summa graduate I have some authority in this area. As time allows therefore I will post some guidance in a series. Here's the first.
GET AHEAD OF THE GAME
It's truly amazing how many students turn up at the first class without a clue as to the course material. Don't be one of these. Well before that day comes make sure you are familiar with the course. Any steps you take in this direction will pay off handsomely. You'll be able to relate to the course immediately and won't take the usual few weeks to realize what's going on.
Here's what to do.
1. Read the course description several times. If you don't understand a word look it up in the dictionary. This way you will already have the beginnings of a subject's vocabulary when you begin.
2. Following from the above, go and get yourself a dictionary in the subject. You should always make a point of doing this for every subject you take. There are dictionaries out there for every subject under the sun, and some even for beyond the sun! Dictionaries of...
